Whoever (or whatever) modeled the simulations used this invented language as the basis for the fake world that was created, for whatever purpose.
That being said, I don't think it is necessary to simulate the world as we know down to its atoms, just a small part to convince whoever inhabits it that this world is indeed very much real. Say you are sitting on your couch watching tv. The whole universe doesn't really need to be simulated, only the couch you sit on, the tv and some details. Math wouldn't be able to prove what you are seeing is fake and gay
