Brainlet from /v/ visiting. I'm just wondering standard deviation
The average height in Finland (Where I live is around 5'11) In most countries I've observed that the standard deviation is about 3 inches.
According to my brainlet Brain shouldnt there be the same amount of men under 5'8'' tall and over 6'2''? I'm in university and have worked summer jobs so this seems pretty much true.
But shouldnt there also be same amount of 6 inches below and above the average height? Btw is this percentage about 2.25% for both extremes?
Why does it seem like I see a lot more 6'5'' men then 5'5''?
I am myself a little bit under 6'2'' so I would say I'm in a good position to evaluate peoples heights.
