All of these books highlight you have feelings of inferiority, and I'm not even just saying that to have a go at you.

If I have free time I usually read a book or two a day, not anything serious.

I used to read every day for years and loved it. Somewhere along the line smartphones fucked up my attention span to the point I can't read for more than a few minutes and get little pleasure from it.

Haha no, I mean it's on a pretty similar tier of literary skill. Just random digestible novels with less then 300 pages on some sci fi or fantasy shit.

I learned how to speed read in middle school and it kind of ruined me for books ever sense. If I have time 100% to myself and a good library to raid I can consistently read ~4-5 books a day. The most I ever managed in one normal day is 8.

~4-5 a day is decent. Don't you lose comprehension if you speed read too fast? I've tried it with a few books before but I found that character speech gets distorted into this fast robotic information flow as opposed to immersive dialogue

I don't know, my brain is pretty geared for reading I think based on the way I normally think. If I get too fast it can be like that, but normally I don't have a problem. I used to practice doing stuff listening to audiobooks. Math and audiobooks was interesting actually. Listening to one audiobook and reading another book made my head hurt after like 20 minutes.
