CBD and GABA work similar, they will help you keep calm and focused, while also relieving your insomnia/anxiety without side-effects. It's my current treament for ADHD and anxiety, and I can tell you, there's totally a before and after me.
A note on the "no" side effects: side-effects do occur rarely at extremely high doses, but are mild and less harmful like those from adderall/ritalin: overdoses of CBD cause liver toxicity and euphoria/hypomania, and GABA overdoses can cause narcolepsia and upset stomach.
