I was wondering if there were any physics gods on here that can explain to me why the right hand rule is emergent in many physical phenomena. The textbooks always say that it was just an experimental observation and that it was pulled mostly out of thin air. Is its emergent properties explained in a more advanced physics topic?

It isn't an emergent phenomena or experimental observation at all. Its just fucking convention. You could rewrite all of physics with a left hand rule and it wouldn't matter.

whenever you use stokes theorem (so 99% of the time you are working with electric/magnetic fields) it requires choosing an orientation of the region of integration and sticking with it consistently throughout the calculation

right hand rule is just a mechanical procedure to remember it

That is the "right hand rule". But I'm more thinking from a philosophical viewpoint, why is it so that the vectors point in the directions that they do? That has to be an emergent property. I know that the right hand rule is just a convention, but why exactly does it work so well for electric/magnetic fields? There has to be a deeper explanation than just; "it works because math stupid".

We could have used the left-hand rule instead and it would work just as well. The choice doesn't have any physical significance, but the consistency is important for calculation.

I would pivot this from physics to biochemistry. In physics it is mostly convention and if you rewrite a bunch of shit they can turn out the same. Same thing with making all electron positive instead of negative.

In chemistry though we have a lot of molecules that are chiral. In biochemistry the difference between an L- and a D- amino acid is literally life or death. We have very little idea why all of life is left handed, it just sorta is. There are theories that the original progenitor molecules were left handed and everything came on from there, but right handed amino acids do pop up in nature, just never in a structural role. Usually just as an intermediate in a pathway.

You can certainly also use the left hand rule, but it reverses the orientation. All it does is introducing a minus sign on our orientation and integrals.

The right hand rule, and with it the cross product, is a way to construct a vector orthogonal to the plane given by the span of two vectors. The deeper meaning comes with the dot product, it equals 0 for orthogonal vectors, their projektion on each other has lenght 0, so in a way they can be seen as independent, no component of one vector interferes with the other. E. G. in electrodynamics the properties of the electro-magnetic Field emerge in such a way that the different forces do not interfere. By studying differential geometrie or general relativity, your will get a better understanding of the philosophical ''meaning'' behind projektions, angles, and so on.
