It's simply a tool to help ease symptoms of those that are in a very bad state (allegedly, no real clinical trial yet but looks promising). It may prevent some deaths, but it does very little to lessen the burden on the healthcare system as things currently stand. Social distancing will be required for months with or without HCQ.
