>>11491401Based, not a chemist but in my O chem labs I used to huff literally everything so I could keep track of which beaker of clear liquid was which. I tried not to huff the less common solvents like hexane, but I was headache-ing on ether pretty much the whole lab, since getting tape and labeling things is annoying. I once asked the professor to sniff a reaction product for me to see her opinion on whether she thought it was an ester or not and she just gave me an angry "no" and I apologized lmao
But on a more serious note I'd be fucking dead if I were a chemist.
