Psychedelics do not typically induce states that are similar to the delusions and delirium of schizophrenia or the like. They're entirely different. If you want to compare schizophrenia to a hallucinogen, compare it to a deliriant like diphenhydramine or scopolamine (datura).
Psychedelics can however accelerate the onset of schizophrenia if one is already predispositioned to such.
Tl;dr: Classical psychedelics such as LSD, psilocin (shrooms), DMT, and mescaline do NOT induce schizophrenia in neurotypical individuals (majority of the population).
