>>11487760>What went wrong? It didn't take into account leadership. It doesn't matter how much "potential" resources you have at your disposal. If you don't have competent people at the helm you're fucked. The only countries on that graph got right in terms of preparation/ill-preparation was South Korea and Iran. And the only two countries that responded appropriately to Covid-19 was South Korea and Japan.
China fucked up because Xi would rather put up a front on state media, lie and arrest scientists doing their fucking civic duty than warn his citizens and the rest of the world about the seriousness of Covid-19. USA fucked up because Trump and his corrupt stooges would rather continue to trick their lemming supporters into thinking it's the liberals hoax and down play the danger (even though it's now proven that multiple senators including the chair of Senate Intel knew in advance and sold stocks before the stock market collapsed, so they didn't even believe their own bullshit).
UK leaders for some foolish reason thinks Herd Immunity theory will resolve the issue when Covid-19 when it's a novel virus that no one has natural immunity to yet. And it can undermine Herd Immunity by turning all healthy individuals into unwitting infectiou carriers with no signs sickness.
Italy went full retard with their population logistics, got completely blindsided and now are facing psuedo plague tier numbers in deaths.
The truth is Covid-19 proved who tooked their leadership roles seriously and who didn't. Seriously if everyone responded like South Korea and Japan this virus wouldn't have been nearly the problem it is now. All we had to do was follow their lead.
