Anyone studying Mathematics or Physicists could most likely switch gears and suit themselves to be a CS major. However, not all CS majors can major in Mathematics and Physics and be successful in their studies. It's very ironic though that CS is always the most impacted major next to Biology or Engineering. That's why most credible unis require that CS majors complete the calculus sequence, Linear Algebra, as well as two courses in Physics, some the whole Physics sequence.
In short, unis use Math and Physics to weed out brainlet code monkeys.
