They all were destroyed but with the financial backing of another billionaire (who at least temporarily became the sole shareholder) he created a fourth Falcon 1 that succeeded and won a big Nasa competition pay out. This kept the company going to create Falcon 9 which became incredibly lucrative in private, USAF and Nasa funding as well as winning other subsidies and funding.
