Any career biologists want to correct me? I'm only an undergrad. Maybe you could also use a Cre/lox model with a floxed stop sequence before a deadly neurotoxin where Cre recombinase is controlled by a promoter with female specific expression.
I'm thinking a neurotoxin might just kill people too fast though before the virus spreads. That would probably be a good thing though if you don't want to destroy the world and are interested in only one population.
