Okay, I think this corona pandemic is an opportunity for me. I have a lot of freetime now.
When I was back in school, math was always my favourite subject. I was always the best math student. Then when I graduated I started to study math at university. I dropped out in a matter of 3 weeks, because what we got taught in uni (proofs) had nothing to do with what we did at school (calculation). I simply couldn't get into it, on top of that I got a depression because my GF just left me and I was too much of a pussy to keep going. So instead I am graduating with a masters degree in a completely different field soon.
Ever since I gave up on the math degree I felt like a loser, because it was the only time i ever gave up in life and felt too incompetent to do something.
So my question is, what book should I read if I wanna learn how to do mathematical proofs? Preferably in german language, but English is good, too.
