Why is the global economy being shut down over a virus that really only kills old people?

Why are dozens of industries being cancelled, why are hundreds of millions of workers being laid off over a virus that only kills old people?

Why was it that swine flu only affect young people and yet the government and the corporations didn't give a fuck about it?

Its almost as if boomers only care about themselves and are willing to shutdown the global economy.
