As an oldie, I am ashamed that I only love math at this age. Soon, I am going senile. Math is the hardest subject in school.

When I realized how subjective and grossly female English and the arts have become. Couldn't bear it, even though I'm more of a creative type. I'm still mediocre at maths but I appreciate them more.

I will never understand how people are unable to see pure math and physics as anything but creative. Even engineering involves a great degree of creativity.

I'm just using that in a conventional sense, "arts and creative writing." I think the implication is that science and math already exist and are just being formalized in human language, whereas the arts are purely products of human imagination.

Because there's no physical output. Creators like having an end product that does something. My greatest downfall in physics was realizing I don't like doing things just because it gives insight.... I seek a reward for my labors in the form of something lasting and that I can interact with

10ish. I moved a lot as a kid, math helped me in many ways.
not knowing the language where I moved, math felt like the only class where I could participate equally. due to that, I ended up excelling at it early.
I tutor kids now.

senior year of highschool. I'm a sophomore now and have completed the core classes for my math degree. It's been pretty phenomenal so far and I would love to continue to pursue it.
