If I am given a happy little chaos pendulum and i am told that both of its arms are equal length, and i am also told the position of the two end points, how would I calculate the two possible positions the third middle point could be in.

I am saying a chaos pendalum because it is the only thing i can think of with 2 arms and a joint shared between the arms. This has nothing to do with how one actually moves.
