well i do know that everything gives of IR relative to the temperature they are but not sure at what point if any does it go away or if the material matters by how much

pretty sure its just heat waves, but im pretty sure we wouldnt use cameras to scan dust clouds with infared light (the clouds would be cold af + you don't know how far away they are)

Why do you think that heat would always exhibit infra? Isn't heat just part of osciallation and something can be non heated but other kind of resonating and having different black body radiation than infra then?
