On the one hand, the unsolved problems of today are the culmination of all unsolved problems throughout history, and all the best and brightest have been taking shots at them now for decades/centuries.
OTOH, every theorem and result we take for granted today had to be proved by someone, and entire branches of math had to be invented.
Well /sci/? Would someone like Newton or Gauss be just as prolific today? Or are the problems today so hard that even being a turboautist isnt enough anymore?
