So when exposed to itself in a disordered state, it can lead to new internal perspective, a different perspective on consciousness itself

Any number of things can create the disordered state. Psychdelics is the easiest as its externally induced so no effort or practice required. Another easy but dangerous route is having a stroke. Effortful routes include meditation or lucid dreaming. Meditation amplifies your brains disorder while you pay full sober attention to it, so it can result in the strongest insight. Lucid dreaming you mostly will get the disorder on the way in to a dream, but once in a dream the same things that would expose your minds working would also destabilize the dream and kill lucidity.

Tldr if you want first hand experience, take a psychedelic or meditate or have a stroke

fasting makes you less stimulated, and allows better brain focus. Sleep deprivation is bad. When you are fasted and on no fap for 30+ days with a healthy diet of nuts, grains, lean meat or eggs occasionally, your brain is doing more autophagy than normal. That clears toxins and also gets you deeper sleep. So you have more time to meditate.
