Hey /sci/, shitty hobby writer here trying to slot gravity into my worldbuilding. Studying CS though, so I have no clue about physics. So, here's my question: gravity is just mass bending space, akin to those stupid movie scenes where a guy pierces a napkin with a pencil, right? Would some kind of sci-fi method to "unbend" the space around a specific object make sense, effectively turning off gravity for that object? Or did I completely misunderstand how that stuff works?
