We are not the smartest animal on the planet.
Smartest ones are somewhere on the level of Jellyfish or something, able to just exist without feeling pain of any kind and no attachment to reality.

Essentially what humans chase through technology, religion, meditation, psychology, etc etc etc, comes naturally to those. Life with more complex cognition than that was a mistake.

One can only hope nature eventually fixes that mistake.
