I'm interested in learning how the brain works on a physical level (physiological, anatomical) as well as on a more abstract level (cognitive processes, psychiatry, the less rigorous areas of neuroscience).
What are some good introductory resources and books on the subject? It's quite vast and I'm not sure where to start.
