If you have the right mindset but you fuck up half of what you do you're still not going to go far.

IQ might as well be the ability to problem solve.

Imagine telling a surgeon that "mindset is what matters". That's basically saying "it's ok if 1,000 of your patients died by your hand. The important part is you tried your best and helped 10."

"It's ok if you fuck up half the stuff you do as an adult where others may rely on you so long as you try your hardest." No one is going to give you a million chances in a real life setting or wait after you.

You don't need a high IQ to be a surgeon, you need a decent memory, a good amount of dexterity and a lot of mental fortitude/energy to go through the long formation..
