In algebra, perhaps. Although there are also many visual ways to think about algebra, because commutative diagrams and many constructions represent relationships which can be thought of in a visual way.
I have a question for anons here who know a bit of elementary algebra: If you were to close your eyes right now and prove the 5-lemma in your mind, how would you do it? Does the diagram present itself visually in your head and are you visually shuffling around the elements? That's how I imagine it myself.
