>>11452839>"dark matter"A placeholder for physical properties or particles we don't yet understand. It's not and never was intended to be literal
>"dark energy"See above
>string theory with 13 dimensionsThis shit is pretty retarded. Our understanding of quantum mechanics is still very primitive. String theory is just a hamfisted attempt to make out current (flawed) understanding of quantum mechanics fit with macro-physical mechanics
>"consciousness = neural computations", yet no one can simulate an actual AI in a computerNeurons and transistors are not a 1/1 correlation. They are similar but neurons are vastly more complicated. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if at least one primitive government owned AI exists.
>differences between genders and races are "pseudoscience"I agree, this shit is pants-on-head dumb and entirely ideologically motivated
>"big bang" which breaks the very basic notion of causalityIt's the best we can do because we can only extrapolate to a few millionths of second after this event occurred. The event itself is currently beyond our ability to comprehend in any meaningful way.
Also, if the Universe is a closed system, which is looking increasingly likely, than a white-hole anti-singularity as the "big bang" would not violate causality, it would simply be one infinite density point in space-time before the shape of space-time changed.
Modern science is being hit very hard by diminishing returns. Basically, science is at the very edge of what can be feasibly theorized with our current level of technology. In order to perform actual, physical experiments in any meaningful sense you have to construct multi-billion dollar machines, or spend hundreds of millions launching shit into space, etc. It's simply too expensive and not yet worth the effort to explore what's currently open to exploration. So most scientists have to content themselves with being pure mathematical theorists working on endlessly complex calculations and equations.
