What actually causes libido?
Why do some people have a high libido while others have a low one?

I've looked it up and it's always been somewhat inconclusive

Yeah but what do those genes manifest as? More of a certain neurotransmitter? Better blood flow? More testosterone? How do they affect you to create libido?

I've come to the conclusion that it is estrogen which is the source of libido, not testosterone. Men just require a pool of testosterone to adequately maintain estrogen levels via conversion.

Example, drinking tons of spearmint and peppermint tea, before I knew what it did to testosterone, in the short term did not really impact sexuality. However, long term consumption of some herbs, caffeine containing stuff, and some other herbs, which increase testosterone, pretty much eliminated sexual interest. Or altered it such that it wasn't really expressed, I would ignore women out of disinterest and vague low level irritation, just felt aggressive constantly

I added licorice, immediate arousal. Masturbated a few times, further arousal, there was cause to appreciate the female form in that way yet again. I imagine adding shatavari, another estrogen which is a long known aphrodisiac, would have enhanced it further.

Chemically, physiologically, the origin of libido appears to be estrogen. The castrated man lacks libido because he lacks estrogen production. This is why the same aphrodisiacs work for men and women.

I had a undescended testicle (left) when i was younger, a surgery corrected it and is now larger than the right testicle. The corrected testicle is anchored down onto my scrotum so that it doesnt go back up.

The right testicle rotated somehow im not sure in what direction, but it gave me issues with arousal, spontaneous erections, and sex drive. After feeling some discomfort with the testicle i began to manipulate and rotate it gently, pausing for discomfort.

I eventually found a rotation direction that it seemed to want to move in. After doing so my testicle hung lower than it once did, and at a different angle. I now have more discomfort driving and wearing certain pants, and am more aware of the feeling of my testicles, where as before their presence wasmt as noticable.
Also my sex drive is back.
