An entire system which has built entirely around self referencing axioms. Its been developed from glorified bean counting. Its so ingrained most of us go through life without ever questioning it.
Now this is fine, it sort of works. Gets bridges built, does finance very well, takes us to the moon and back. But there is something fundamentally in error with the basic principles. The very basic concept of numbers themselves. As a result we get all sorts of absurdities arising. Negative numbers. Infinities. Irrational numbers. No, I am not Norman. I dont think he is is on the right track, but at least he has recognized the problems.
