Clearly the world is not how we imagined it be be once we took a closer look into everyday phenomena we once found intuitive and took for granted as a fundamental property.

What justifies assuming the second law of thermodynamics as a property of the universe? If the big bang happened clearly there has to be some over unity process in nature.

Also why do we make the assumption that the universe is statistical and will continue to follow the laws of statistics and probability even though our perspectives have been completely turned upside down?
