Probably not. The current kill rate is 3.4% but based on limited data. The mortality by age distribution is also heavily lopsided towards killing the elderly. If you are under 40 and infected, either nothing happens or you get symptoms indistinguishable from a cold. Based on existing data there is a less than .2% chance you will die if infected and are under 40.

I'm in my 30s and not worried about the disease itself one bit. I'm worried about the breakdowns that can occur from the resulting panic.

Besides, the recovery time is 2 weeks, and the 2 week incubation means a lot more infected than the common flu, so you can do the math on how much of an economic hit every winter will be if this thing becomes as widespread as the flu. The reason why we aren't panicking over the flu is because it has 2 days of incubation period. China is not like it was 20 or even 5 years ago, it evolves rapidly. Especially healthcare in China is free unlike f.ex. in the US where people fear to go to the hospital because of the costs. The current death rate in Italy is also at 3%. Yes it's probably overestimated, but I would not be too sure that it is under 1%.

If Coronavirus starts at 3%, with severe underreporting of cases, in a third world country without the means to diagnose every single case, I'm not worried.

Look at the cold and the flu: why aren't you immune after you get them? Because they mutate at a very fast rate, and your antibodies no longer work against them, requiring your body to gather data on how to make NEW antibodies for them.

The coronavirus is from a family of viruses that constantly mutates, hence its highly possible that it'll be impossible to gain permanent immunity because every year there'll be a new mutation that you antibodies don't work against.
