The thing is, Nazism happened in the 40's and the whole concept of race became tabu afterwards. Group differences are blatantly obvious, just look at the correlation between race and income across countries as different as the US and Brazil. You need a pile of circumstantial evidence to explain this without resorting to genetics.
Even "AI" systems have to be corrected to avoid "racism" nowadays, because they find that race is an important predictive factor for people's behavior.
