Of all the bullshit related to genes I've read in my entire life this definitely tops everything, even purposefully retarded ironic statements
Religiousness is probably the single most undeniable determined by 100% ambiental 0% genetic factors (the only genetic factors that might influence how prone you're to believing are the ones that are directly related to intelligence)
However this doesn't even end there because intelligence doesn't directly correlate to irreligiousness as atheism can also be "automatically absorbed" from your ambient (exactly like religion) as well if you were raised in an atheist household

No way. It's clear from the development of many independent religions in the world, that there's something in the human brain that makes you predisposed to believe in gods and other bullshit. It might be the result of natural selection at the level of groups in ancient times, e.g. a tribe that believes in gods fights more fiercely and wipes other tribes made of non-crazy people, so they rape their women and the genes that made their brains that way spread. There is definitely something with the brain and religion.

It's probably the end result of humans' predisposition to believe things because they were taught them as much or even more than their own observations, combined with magical thinking. These are fairly universal traits among humans and not present in other apes, but religion is a cultural manifestation of that and not inherently genetic.
