Quick learners

Quick learners are people who absorb information quickly but they also lack a mental filter for harmful information. The meme of "street smarts" is just an example of quick learners lacking the mental filter to understand when people are tricking them. In school there is no way to test for people who are quick at picking up on being scammed or tricked.

Imagine this, a "quick learner" would learn random rules on how to manipulate symbols as they would on how to manipulate symbols for algebra but there is a believed base truth behind one but not the other.

If this is the case, how can we select for people who are both good at quickly picking up information but also have reasoning ability to know what is truth and what is not?

Its almost impossible to do this in a system which has to be standardized, once something is standard people will naturally teach children what to look for when being tested.
