Why did the itching sensation evolve in humans if scratching yourself is bad sometimes?

Shouldn't our bodies have evolved to not reward scratching instead?

Because sometimes you scratch off dangerous bugs that can kill you, while getting sore skin doesn't kill you.

Headaches however are completely pointless and shouldn't even exist.

Because most of the time it's good. When we get itchy we are scraping dead skin off our body. it's an issue of hygiene. The vast majority of the time it is beneficial.
