How much Galois theory does grad school expect you to have learned from undergrad? Im currently reading chapter 13 (Field Theory) of Dummit and Foote before I read the next chapter on Galois theory. Does Dummit and Foote do a good enough job of covering Galois theory, or should I read other texts in addition to Dummit and Foote?
