All you really need is a high grade automatic chromatography unit (like an isolera or HPLC) and either a flow reactor or a regular old batch reactor with some pumps and an Arduino.
I might work on an open source 3D printed autochem unit in the future but yeah, really not that impossible. Almost every conceivable process has been made into a continuous variant for the petrochemical industry, you just need to scale it down and make it into little modules you can chain together like an old school Moog synthesizer. Then you just have someone design a synthesis for whatever you want, chain it together in the right order, hit print, and voila.
