What is, in your opinion, the most unfairly treated and surpressed scientific theory throughout history? Not obvious stuff like heliocentricism, but things which still or until just recently have been marginalized.

Recently learned about Einstein-Cartan gravity. I wouldn't say its unfairly "suppressed", but it's more just ignored. Some of the reason seems to be people don't really want to fuck around with it because the most general EC cases are LOT more complicated and less "elegant".

It's basically just general relativity with one condition relaxed so it is slightly more general. It doesn't contradict any observations but it opens the door for spacetime torsion caused by intrinsic spins.
