I think it falls along the issue in that in order to simulate the universe 100 percent accuracy you would need a computer the size of the universe. Tmi for all knowing. But in practical terms with a quantum computer and heuristics you would still be able to know almost everything you need to know.

Yeah, you could use low fidelity simulations for a lot of things, and perhaps the simulation could adjust the fidelity of specific areas based on how relevant that knowledge is. Would the AI need to accurately simulate every quark to reasonably predict what a star is doing?
