How do I improve my fundamentals in math besides drilling my ass off? I'm in Uni right now and sometimes I still fuck up some basic algebraic manipulation it's insane...

Drilling is really the thing to do.
Some ways to drill more effectively:

Apply behaviorist psychology. Attempt problems and check answers immediately after. If correct, move onto other problems; if wrong, check the answer, understand the answer, and solve/verify a similar problem before moving on. Fundamentals are fundamentals.
