Is determinism just a meme? Is Bayesian probability a spook? When do we know we can trust a stat?


If you're a math guy, what's an interesting area of stats/probability for stats noobs? One of my profs is letting me write a report for extra credit cause I bombed an exam and it was only half my fault. I have no idea where to start. What's your favorite distribution in nature? :)
