it makes perfect sense. that's why einstein developed the model using the technology of his theory of general relativity. nothing has changed since then in terms of that model's hypothetical validity.

OP, time is not dependent on the expansion of space due to dark energy. Time is part of the fabric of the Universe, one of the four dimensions in which you exist - spacetime.
