>>11413802Geometry and trigonometry form the basis of proofs for my high school curriculum, ie circle geometry (angles in same segment, exterior angles, angle in a semicircle etc) as well as trig which is an introduction to non visual proofs (ie prove secx + tanx = cosx/(1-sinx)). So while their importance fades as you dive deeper into mathematics I think they provide a nice intro to proof structure, using known theorems to prove others, logical arguments, implications, etc. At a high school level at least.
