It's not hard to do plot in 2D, for 3D like this you need just to understand perspective, and it generally can be improved a lot to be really smoothly textured manifolds, but I have lot of other internet stuff to do.
Also I don't understand why do you split colors, colors are one dimension, and you're doing what is called pixel art on that picture.
Try to make 3d graph in javascript on canvas, it's easy, you have access to alpha channels, you can do this in one way transitional alpha like being transparent in not in other, so you e.g. see little blour if you look from bottom of a graph, so there isn't those lines.
Also it's fun in spare time to draw those lines with tehhnical pen, those on the edge when you see it from bottom.
Light should have that much range and be more smooth.
Nowhere normal red isn't literally FF0000....
It's like spitting on all intelligent design to use those kind of libraries...
Imagine background, you want to get millimeter paper with alpha, and those lines to be logarythmic, and nowhere in documentation it's writen, it's just one stupid word...
