>>11411087The fur of mammals only gets its color from two melanin pigments: eumelanin and pheomelanin. Eumelanin is responsible for the dark browns and blacks, and pheomelanin is responsible for the reds and light yellows.
Also the only true green color in nature comes from chlorophyll in plants, what we see as green in animals skin eg reptiles and frogs are actually blue crystals under yellow skin cells. The light filters everything out besides the illusion of green.
