>>11408261Yes. I agree with elderberry, and garlic had a Cochrane review where garlic prevented colds and lessened them by a day on average. Vitamin C also helps for symptoms and duration, I take 8g of vitamin C followed by a gram every hour and my symptoms and duration are always more favorable than my family who doesn't listen to me. They take medications and feel like shit and their colds last a couple days longer.
You should eat fresh garlic though, which sucks. It's possible the pills don't work very well. Zinc lozenges are nice too.
