There's a sequence: 995833, 991306, 986350, 980870, 974740,...
These are the first 5 numbers in the sequence of a total 12 numbers.
You get that sequence like this:
12000000 is divided into 12 parts.
12000000/12 = 1000000.
Then 5% is taken from 1000000 = 50000.
12000000 - 50000 = 11950000.
Then 11950000 is divided by 12 = 995833, and that's the first number.
math: (12000000 - (12000000/12)*0.05)/12 = 995833
The second number..
5% is taken from 995833 = 49792
The second number is then (12000000 - 50000 - 995833 - 49792)/11
or written like this:
(12000000 - (12000000/12)*0.05 - (((12000000 - (12000000/12)*0.05)/12)*0.05)/12 - 995833) /11
But the factors to calculate the next number get progressively longer and confusing.. I wondered if there's a faster way to get the numbers in the sequence.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
