Hey I heard somebody just came out with a Graphene based battery!
> Except... It isnt.
> Theyre just using graphene as the conductor.
Graphene is NOT, I repeat NOT being used as the capacitor or electron storage medium. Its just your standard plain ol' lithium battery with some minor benefits for charging speed.
Thats why it's still brick-y and doesnt hold 100,000mah or isnt the size of an SD card.
Its been well known for years that while Graphene is an amazing conductor, the Nanotube variety when introduced with spirals or imperfections within the tube gains a charge capacity and its at least 10 times anything we currently use (MIT about a decade ago).
Do not buy it or support it, this is a shitty secondhand snake oil application of the technology and if it becomes popular the research on Graphene As Capacitors may get memoryholed.
