>>11406663Well, you are right that it's in flux, really the best tools we have for modeling are statistics, which can only tell us if a deviation is happening, not the severity of the deviation itself. This is a big reason why we were so wrong in the 80-90s, and even now modeling clouds is very hard, and it seems to break any statistical models we feed it into. Furthermore you add human actions and it becomes even harder.
Look, just bottom line: There is a warming, and it'll like heat the Earth up anywhere from 2-5 C over the next century. As for adaptability, not everywhere is affected evenly, Australia for instance will be desert before 2030, I bet my money on it. The northern hemisphere appears to be less sensitive, but it will experience something like what Australia's experiencing now.
Also that 50 million is in due to previous ice ages the planet experienced, but it could be 20 million or whatever, I don't actually know the exact number. Just know that the Earth hasn't been this warm in a very, very long time.
