I think there's 2 things. You have fluids in your ear that react to turning motion. And you can also feel acceleration through your feet. So you have 2 "feelings" that you can sense turning with. Unfortunately your feet are only measuring a vertical force that slightly counteracts gravity. So you won't feel that. Unless you can really detect that your weight just dropped by 0.00005 newtons.
As for the turning sensation, I believe that goes with how many rotations/second, regardless of your distance fro the center. 1 meter from the center, 100 meters from the center, the fluids in your ear will only react to changing the relative angle of your head.
But in this case, we are only turning once every 24 hours. So this is the equivalent to you "sensing" the turning sensation of a carousel ride which takes 24 hours to go in a full circle.
