I am interested in learning about mathematics and possibly physics in order to learn more about the world through empirical means (though theory would be nice too) since great thinkers such as Aristotle, Plato, the rationalists, atomists, practically every presocratic, the enlightenment philosophers, Francis Bacon, etc. have all praised doing so and it was generally considered to be inseparable from philosophy. I understand that there’s a wiki, however, I’m concerned that I’ll go through a repeat of my high school days and be completely disinterested and think of it as nothing more than numbers/equations on a page rather than the language of the universe. Do you have any advice i n how to avoid this? Oh, and I like many subjects outside of philosophy I just bring it up because it’s my main passion - I’m very openminded and more than willing to be patient if need be. Thanks in advance
