I have to remove 2nd molar tooth, and I kind of feel bad

I saw a post long ago saying that removing some teeth can impact intelligence, is it true?

They don't call them wisdom teeth for nothin. I noticed a significant drop in intelligence after getting mine taken out. I was making As as a physics major and had to drop out in my senior year.

why has everyone only speculated in this thread about a lowering of IQ due to pulling teeth? i can't find any study links to substantiate such a claim and it looks like real dentists on quora say your teeth don't affect your IQ whatsoever and we only call it wisdom teeth because of the age you are when they first begin "erupting." (you're supposed to be wiser the older you become)

I can't think of anything worse than being a mammal. I mean if you really think about, mammals are a failure in every regard. They can't grow new teeth, their children are exposed and vulnerable at birth, giving birth also completely makes the mother weak, they have to then ween their little spawns with their own protein, most wounds are a death sentence. They don't give you heroin when you have your wisdom teeth removed. They typically give you procaine & epinephrine if you are not put under for impacted wisdom tooth surgery or other problem.

I genuinely believe that wisdom teeth are only called so in the English language because they somehow heard the Dutch call it "verstands" teeth, which can mean both wisdom and "far placed". And calling it "far placed" makes much more sense.

i went through two years of hell enduring pain, got it fixed , got an absys, was scared to get it removed... didnt ... ended up making really sick.. got so bad i got it removed, 15minutes, popped out, no pain... i felt like a total idiot

also dental problems can actually give heart problems: much worse than intelligence
